Boat Seat Repair in Dallas–Fort Worth

Boat seats fail from the top down: the sun cooks the vinyl until it splits along the seams, water works into the foam through every crack, and a season later the seat that looked 'a little faded' is peeling open with waterlogged padding. On DFW lakes, five to eight Texas summers is a typical seat lifespan — unless the damage is caught and repaired early.

White and blue boat helm seats after marine repair

We rebuild boat seats with marine-spec materials: UV-stabilized vinyl repair compounds, closed-cell and quick-dry foams, stitching in sun-rated thread. Pontoon benches, bass boat buckets, ski-boat spotters' seats and helm chairs are repaired dockside or on the trailer — before small splits become full reupholstery.

Frequently Asked Questions

The seams split but the vinyl looks okay. Repair or reupholster?

Seam-only failure is the ideal repair case — restitched with UV-rated thread while the vinyl is still supple, at a fraction of recover cost. Wait two seasons and the answer changes.

The foam squishes water when I sit down. What now?

That foam is done — waterlogged cores break down and rot from inside. We replace with closed-cell or quick-dry marine foam and reseal the covering so it doesn't recur.

Can you fix pontoon seats without pulling them off the boat?

Mostly yes — bench bases and backs are repaired in place; some corner and hinge repairs come out more cleanly with the cushion removed, which we handle on the spot.

When should I book to be ready for summer?

Late winter and early spring — the pre-Memorial-Day rush fills quickly. Off-season repairs also give sealants ideal curing conditions.
