Leather Scratch Repair in Dallas–Fort Worth
Scratches are the most common leather damage we see — and the most satisfying to fix, because a properly finished scratch repair simply disappears. Cat claws, dog nails, belt buckles, jeans rivets, keys tossed on a seat, corners clipped during a move: all of it reads as dramatic damage but is usually shallow.

The repair depends on depth. Light finish scratches are sealed and recolored. Scratches through the color layer are filled, re-grained and refinished. Deep gouges into the hide get filler and structural treatment first. We assess depth from your photos and quote accordingly — most scratch repairs are quick, single-visit work.

Frequently Asked Questions
The scratch shows white against the dark leather. Is the leather ruined?
No — that white line is the undyed core of the hide showing through the finish. It looks alarming but repairs invisibly: filled if needed, then recolored and sealed.
Can you fix scratches without the repair being visible?
On pigmented (protected) leather, yes — a finished scratch repair is invisible at normal viewing distance. On aniline leather the outcome is a close blend, and we'll set expectations from your photos.
Our cat scratched the whole corner of the couch. Is that still a 'scratch repair'?
Clustered scratching over an area is common pet damage — we treat the panel as a whole: fill, re-grain and refinish the section. See the pet damage service for heavier cases with tearing.
Should I try a leather repair kit first?
We'd rather you didn't — kit fillers and colors rarely match, and cured kit residue makes professional repair harder. A photo estimate is free, so you'll know the professional price before deciding.
